Using Moving of America can help combat the hunger problem
Moving of America has teamed up with Move for Hunger to help those in need. Over 340,000 children in the state of New Jersey are food insecure. Nationally, 50 million American do not have consistent access to food. Hunger affects 1 in 6 Americans and is growing every year. Move for Hunger is a non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce wasted food. 40% of all food produced in America is wasted every year. When a person moves, they get rid of a lot of ‘stuff’ these items are sometimes canned goods that can go to those in need. By gathering non-perishable food items from local and long distance moves, we can make an impact and reduce the level of hunger in America.
