    Moving Of America tries to be as accommodating as we can on timing. Short notice moves are certainly possible, but can’t be guaranteed. We suggest you book your moves as early as possible especially if you’re moving in the summer, which is the busiest time of year for relocation. We recommend scheduling your move seven or more days in advance to ensure best available service.
    No. Because Moving Of America Moving calculates your best price guarantee based on truck space utilized – not weight. An inventory of your household items that you provide allows our Moving Consultants to accurately determine your moving quote. If you prefer an in-home estimate, Moving Of America can accommodate your request.
    When you speak with one of our professional Moving Advisors, they’ll walk you through an inventory of your residence and ask a number of questions. That pool table, make sure you mention it. And don’t forget about the pile of antiques stacked against the wall in the basement! The space you’ll need on the truck will be determined by what you plan to take and your pricing will be calculated accordingly.
    When you decide on a move date, Moving Of America Moving guarantees pick up on that day. If you require a guaranteed delivery date, you need to let your Moving Advisor know. Depending upon the size of the shipment, there may be an additional charge for a guaranteed delivery date. We do guarantee delivery anywhere in the contiguous US within ten business days.
    Yes. We offer professional moving services seven days a week, excluding major holidays.
    Don’t panic! If your moving date changes, simply contact your dedicated Moving Advisor. They’ll take care of scheduling your new date. Please review our Rescheduling and Cancellation Policies for details.
    Our inventory process is structured to ensure that we know your exact space needs prior to the move. As long as the inventory you give us is accurate, you will not be charged for additional space. In the rare instance that additional items not included in your provided inventory results in more space than originally expected, your move cost may be increased based on your original per-foot rate to reflect the footage used. Please make sure to give the most accurate inventory possible during the booking process. Using less space will not result in price changes. You can adjust your inventory up to 5 days prior to your move to ensure accuracy. Your Moving Consultant will provide an updated price based on your updated inventory.
    Provided we have an accurate inventory and you do not make any changes to the move dates your estimated costs should not change. In the event of unforeseen “Additional Services” such as multiple flights of stairs, a “long carry” if the truck cannot get close to your home, etc. arise, those would be added to your total move price. The goal of our phone inventory process is to uncover any potential Additional Services and include them in your total upfront price so there won’t be any surprises. This is all outlined in your Order for Service Agreement.
    Moving Of America Moving accepts Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Your card will be charged 100% of the final quote 48 hours prior to your move. The costs of packing supplies are non-refundable. Please see our Payment Policy for additional information.
    Our trucks are the real deal and are about 53 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 9 feet tall. While they can make it down most streets, please let your Moving Consultant know if your home may be difficult for a 53’ truck to access. Depending upon the needs of our customers, we may also utilize a 26’ truck or portable storage container.
    Protection Coverage covers repair, replacement, or reimbursement of any items damaged while in the care of Moving Of America Moving. For more information, click to review our Protection Policy.
    Your household goods are covered during the entire time they are in the care of Moving Of America’s professional movers. You have two options for coverage levels, so you can select the option that works best with your budget and coverage requirements.
    Crew sizes vary depending on the items you’ve included in your inventory. For example, pianos, fridges, armoires, safes, and other large items may require more muscle.
    Packing services include a team of professional movers who have been approved, scored and reviewed by Moving Of America Moving staff. They will properly pack your items into boxes and load and pad your belongings as necessary for safe delivery to your new destination.
    Typically, most households can be packed in a day or less.
    Our crews use industry standard packing materials. To protect and cushion the customer’s items, our loading service will ensure that items are wrapped with professionally woven moving blankets. We do not use paper pads, which often tear or rip during transport.

    Loading includes properly padding furniture and loading the items inside the moving van at the origin location. Loading services includes the basic disassembly (beds, dresser mirrors, etc.) and the wrapping of furniture.

    Unloading includes the removal of all items from the van at your destination and placing them in the appropriate rooms or areas as designated by you. Unloading also includes basic reassembly of standard furniture (i.e. beds, dresser mirrors, etc.).

    We used Moving of America services twice. Once to move out and put some of our office belongings in the storage; the other to move those items back to the office. We had 2 different teams and both were great. The first team had to deal with a 3rd-floor walk-up apt. They were very careful in moving all our boxes and wrapping our furniture with plastic and cardboard. Then they spent a good portion of the afternoon loading everything into the storage unit, which looked like a game of Tetris after they were done. 6 months later, we requested the same team of guys but they were unavailable. A different set of 4 guys came and I was initially skeptical but within the first hour and a half, they unloaded a 10x15 unit that was filled with our stuff. The first, move out the team was more careful and the second, move in the team were very fast. Both teams were great and I highly recommend them.

They explained everything over the phone, the going rate, the packing service we would have, and a full detailed move plan. They used all type of protective equipment for the furniture.     The most skilled, experienced and professional movers, I have come across. My move had the chance of playing out in a couple ways. I was definitely moving some stuff and possibly storing some. Not only that they also picked up the unwanted, non-perishable food items to deliver it to their local food banks. Move for Hunger teams up with relocation companies across the country and picks up these items from food banks to distribute it to the poor and needy. I was very much satisfied that I have done a generous act with the help of Moving of America. They are super communicative (called to confirm and called when en route with box delivery and move), prompt, and really friendly.
